Uncle Buddy’s was born one summer when I grew way too many chili peppers and ghost peppers—more than any one person could possibly eat. What started as a backyard garden quickly turned into a problem: baskets of peppers ripening faster than I could give them away. I needed to find something to do with all that heat.
So I started experimenting.
Late nights turned into cooking sessions, blending peppers, testing sauces, and handing out samples to friends and family. What began as a way to use up extra peppers turned into a tradition—dialing in flavor, balancing heat, and refusing to settle for “good enough.” If it wasn’t something I’d proudly share, it didn’t make the cut.
The name Uncle Buddy’s comes from something personal. It’s what my nieces have always called me, and it stuck. It represents family, fun, and the kind of food that brings people together. The cowboy hat and chili pepper say it all—rugged, a little fiery, and rooted in tradition.
We don’t believe in watering things down. Our jerky has bite. Our hot sauce brings real heat and real flavor. Everything we make is inspired by simple ingredients, classic techniques, and respect for doing things the right way—even when it takes longer.
